Jan 6th, 2009 Council meeting.
Our first meeting of the year entailed adopting a 5 year capital improvement project plan for the Marina Airport.
Purchased a new roof heating unit for the public safety building.
Extended an agreement for our financial consultant, which was a drawn out process, as councilman Frank O’Connell did not wish to pay the wages stated for the new contract. With Richard Standridge leading our finance department, the city received an unqualified audit. No penalties, no errors. After much discussion, the Council approved the new contract 4 votes to 1 vote.
Council scheduled the team building workshop, which is now available on line at AMP.ORG.
The Mayor made recommendations for council members to serve on the various commissions and committees, which were accepted by the council.
